For a tf2 spy cosplay I have a metal ballisong trainer. It bans metal weapons, but this has no edge, so I don't think it's technically a weapon. If I were to duct tape around the "blade" so that it doesn't look like metal or like a real knife from a distance, would that make it more acceptable?

The rule is no metal weapons, nothing that looks realistic. You can take to security to have them review it but to me it looks like a realistic knife.

Yea, that's kind of what I was thinking. It's not technically a weapon, but it is metal and from a distance it looks like a weapon. I'll do this cosplay the secons day and try asking the security the day before if it is ok or if duct taping it would make it ok. Thank you
