record the past two seasons

Postby zhangzk » Thu Oct 11, 2018 3:45 am

Mike Williams has called his rookie season a “bad year.” No one will argue with that.

The Chargers receiver dealt with a nagging back injury all year http://www.chargersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-kyzir-white-jersey , finishing with only 11 catches in 10 games.

“This is a big year for Mike,” receivers coach Phil McGeoghan said, via Ricky Henne of the team website. “Obviously, everyone evaluated him at the combine when he was coming out. He was an unbelievable talent. I tell all the young guys that the biggest year in their whole career is between their first and second year. That first year, you鈥檙e just a rookie. You鈥檙e just trying to figure out where your locker is, what the day is like and how to take care of your body. As you become a second-year player, you start to get into a routine. You develop your habits. You get a better idea of all that. Now Mike, . . . he鈥檚 been just phenomenal in our room. What鈥檚 great is that everybody in our room feels a sense of responsibility to help him improve. The veterans even mentioned when we first met, and I鈥檓 talking about individually, all of them said one of their goals was to help Mike and get him up and running. I鈥檝e spent a ton of time with Mike http://www.giantsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-b.j.-hill-jersey , football and non-football related, getting to know him because it鈥檚 very hard to do this job, and be really hard on somebody, if you don鈥檛 have a relationship with him. But he鈥檚 been great, and I really enjoy being around him.”

The Chargers selected Williams seventh overall for a reason. He just never got a chance to do what the Chargers drafted him to do.

Everyone associated with the Chargers vows that the real Mike Williams will show up this season.

“He is a big-bodied guy with a huge catch radius,” McGeoghan said. “Very strong hands. Some of the biggest hands I鈥檝e ever had as a position coach. Just a really dynamic red zone threat. He鈥檚 tough, too. He has an edge to him. He鈥檚 very strong. He鈥檚 working really hard, and I鈥檓 excited about this guy.”

The Memphis Grizzlies have named Jerry Stackhouse, Nick Van Exel and six others as assistant coaches.

Coach J.B. Bickerstaff says his staff will emphasize ”discipline, grit Customized Cleveland Browns Jerseys , physical and mental toughness.” Along with Stackhouse and Van Exel, it will include Chad Forcier, Greg Buckner, Vitaly Potapenko and Adam Mazarei as assistants and J.J. Outlaw and Kevin Burleson as assistant coaches for player development.

Forcier brings 22 years of NBA experience to his position. He was an assistant in San Antonio when the Spurs won the NBA championship in 2014.

Stackhouse compiled a 70-30 record the past two seasons as a head coach in the NBA G League.

Van Exel, Buckner, Mazarei and Outlaw all worked with Bickerstaff last season, when he replaced the fired David Fizdale on an interim basis in November. The team finished 22-60, the second-worst record in the league, but removed the interim tag from Bickerstaff and made him the coach after the season.

Potapenko and Burleson both come to the Grizzlies with NBA and G League coaching experience.
